CASE STUDIES & TESTIMONIALS
Real-World solutions for every project.
Dunedin Cathedral
20/10/21NASNaturally, preserving the church’s marvellous interior and keeping any installed equipment as unobtrusive as possible was the highest priority. Another issue was providing that reinforced speech intelligibility when spaces like St Paul’s were designed with reflections and reverbs in mind to enhance choral performances and singing—your standard Church Reverb isn’t a new concept born of 21st century audio plugins.
North Harbour Stadium
21/9/21NASKelvin and the NAS team knew some of the history of the original install and that knowledge was put to good use in recommending the new system. “The key was to put in more speakers running at a lower level. That gave us the ability to improve intelligibility without pushing the speakers too hard. We ended up putting in more than were there originally.”
Matamata Baptist Church
13/5/21NASThe biggest constraint on this job was budget. That meant reusing any still functional equipment and finding the best value for money with whatever additions were required. The other key goals were getting good audio coverage across the whole venue with a particular emphasis on clear articulation. Although music is important here, being able to hear the service lucidly from anywhere in the space is fundamental.
Mt Albert Baptist Church
24/2/21NASThe brief was to replace the outgoing sound system with one that could provide good coverage and frequency response for their auditorium for speech, worship and community events. Additionally Mt Albert Baptist required a background music and speech system in the church lobby/café to either take a feed from the auditorium or be used separately with simple line input and a mic.
Regent on Broadway Theatre
12/8/20NASWestern Audio worked with d&b supplier NAS Solutions to design the right system for Regent on Broadway. This included Andy sharing his insights from his experience putting touring systems in the room, as well as a load of venue measurements, rigging considerations, and ArrayCalc modelling.
Blue Marble Lane
2/10/19NASFour zones of coverage were required, with the ability to control each area independently. Incoming sources into the system included two audio and two video streams.
